Bridal Cave in Camdenton, Missouri was one of the stops we made during our Lake of the Ozarks travel story we did a few months back for the St. Louis Post Dispatch. It was such a neat place I wanted to really just focus in on the absolute beauty of this underground wonder for this post.  Photographing a location like this, a tripod is a must. Or, if you want to take a point and shoot, take a mini tripod like one of the Gorilla Pods that fit easily in a bag.  Whatever you do, NO FLASH! Aside from it may be against the rules, flash will kill your ambient lighting.  The walking paths were relatively safe for my two boys, but you do go through some really tight places.  At one point, I had a hard time squeezing through with my backpack.  Aside from getting a shot – that actually ended up being the cover for the travel story – I wanted to capture a walk through on video. It was tough keeping the camera still while walking, but try doing that in a low light situation through a cave!
