A St. Louis Snow Portrait Session
Last week here in St. Louis, we had a few inches of snow dumped on us on it’s way to bury the east coast. I’ve always wanted to head out to do a portrait session and have some fun but usually as the fresh snow is falling, no one wants to get out – and by the time everyone wants to get out, the snow doesn’t look so good. This time I planned ahead a bit, and got ahold of our friend Emily to brave the weather and make some pretty images!
Above: This is literally at the beginning and our main concern is keeping Emily warm as I dial in my settings. We’re just chatting it up and I tell her don’t worry about working it just yet, but here’s the first image of our “test.”
Above: We came prepared to stand/sit/lay on the snow. In-between takes I’m like, “Emily, you sure you are ok???” It was COLD!
