This was actually my own submission to the Luxe 365 Photo Project I am doing with 9 other players yesterday for the Roy G. Biv theme of the week.  Orange was my color for the day.  Three years ago, I came across a gorgeous picture setup online on a Flickr site and it has always been in the back of my head to try and recreate and tweak when I got the chance.

Problem is, I’ve been waiting for snow.  And then waiting for the time to set things up when it snowed.  Finally it all came together yesterday.  Abby is a friend of the family and one of Luxe’s go to models I use every chance I can get – and she practically lives next door.  Once I set up the shot details, I went over everything with her to put things together and we shot within a couple of minutes outside.  I felt bad for having her get all snowy for the shot, but it’s for the art, right? She’s all for doing creative stuff too so it worked out well.
