This is part of our travel series where my wife and I packed up the kids and went south to Florida to experience (and review for the St. Louis Post Dispatch) both Universal-Orlando and Disney World.  Our last day at Disney, I was determined go get some night shots, so I carried my gear including tripod for our longest outing of the trip – 12 hours.  Main St. comes alive at night with all the lights and buzz for the big parade, so we set up early and staked out a great position to catch the iconic Disney castle awash in many ever changing colors. 

Could I get a shot without people in it?  No.  And really, that’s what makes the shot have life and movement.  Could have prevent people from knocking over my 5DMkii and 70-200 IS lens on tripod?  I would guard and defend with my life!  Will the lady selling balloons ever move out of the way of my shot?  In time, yes.  But in the end, the balloon shot is the one that made the main picture for the paper the St. Louis Post Dispatch Review.
