As of today, Friday November 20th, 2015, the St. Peters Spirit ADM 8U team and individual pictures are ready to view and order. For those of you who stuck around, here are some notes about the shoot and that may help you in the ordering process.

I’m really excited to have been able to do a different style of the ADM group this year. Usually to get a bit more creative in a shoot, you need a little more time and setup. I usually reserve this particular “look” for shooting smaller groups/teams as I can fine tune the setup as we do it. I think I came up with a particular setup and process at the rink where I felt I could do this style with 13 teams and 100+ players. Plus it really helped out that Duane from DC Photowerx came out to do the team shots on ice.

My thoughts for this style came from an NHL product ad I saw a couple years ago. Completely blacked out background and half of the player lit from the side. To get that exact look is actually quite easy…when there are only a player or two to shoot, but when you have 100+ players, I knew I would get a wide variety of looks depending on how the players were standing and moving around. The cool thing is, the way it’s all set up, no matter how the shadowing falls, you get a really cool look.

The landscape/horizontal images you’ve seen earlier in this post are really meant to be printed as a 10×20, ultra wide print. Trust me. They look awesome this way. Add on the styrene back mount to it and you won’t have to worry about how to display it at home. Just lean it on something. No need to frame or anything. For those of you on Snapchat (@LuxePhotoSTL) I’ll demo a few videos of how the products looks at my house. Now you CAN order the wide images in other print sizes, but just remember you’ll have to crop out the sides.

One more thing. I’ve had a few parents ask about the metal prints I did last year for a team project. They are offered up as you browse through “Showcase Items” for sale and are printed on ALUMINUM. Those definitely are signature pieces to showcase to family and friends. I’ll also have an example video up on Snapchat later today.
